Prior to co-founding SOMV, he served as Head of Finance at Bazan Group (TASE: ORL), held a senior position in the Finance Division at Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX), and worked as Chief of Staff for the Head of the Budget Department at the Ministry of Defense.
Nir holds a B.A. in Economics and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Tel-Aviv University. He lives in Ramat-Hasharon with his wife and two daughters, and enjoys playing piano and drums in his spare time.

As former CEO of startups including ooVoo, Xacct, and Amdocs Cloud Services, he brings deep operational expertise to his investment approach. During his tenure as Head of Corporate Development and Strategy at Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX), he orchestrated ten global acquisitions totaling over two billion dollars in investments.
Prior to co-founding State of Mind Ventures, Yuval served as a Partner with Sequoia Capital in Israel and maintained an active angel investing practice. Merav brings extensive corporate venture capital and strategic investment experience to her role. As former Managing Director at Verizon Ventures, she led their Corporate Venture Capital activities across Israel and Europe, investing in teams at multiple stages and across diverse verticals. Prior to Verizon, she served as Head of AOL Venture Seed Investments in Israel, where she worked closely with exceptional founders and sat on numerous boards.
Her operational background includes serving as Head of Strategy and Operations at Better Place, Head of Regulatory Affairs for Israel's leading telecommunications company Cellcom, and as a Consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco. This combination of strategic, operational, and regulatory expertise provides valuable perspective for portfolio companies navigating complex market challenges.
Merav currently serves as a board director or observer for Optibus, Ask-ai, Oshi, ClarityQ, and Knock. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Law degree from Tel Aviv University. Based in Tel Aviv, she lives with her husband and two children.
Omer brings over a decade of experience in venture capital, marketing, and community building. For the past three years, he has been deeply embedded in the VC ecosystem, working closely with portfolio founders to address their most pressing challenges while spearheading deal flow initiatives. His hands-on approach to founder support and keen eye for promising opportunities have strengthened the fund's position in the startup ecosystem.
Prior to venture capital, Omer served as General Manager for On Deck in Israel, empowering founders to expand their global networks and scale their ventures. His entrepreneurial experience includes founding two companies (Workgroup & The White Elephant) and serving as VP Guest Experience & Community at Selina, providing valuable operational insights to portfolio companies.
Throughout his career, Omer has driven impactful social initiatives, including leadership roles in the Israeli Burning Man (MidBurn) and The White Elephant. His passion for fostering meaningful connections and creating transformative experiences remains central to his professional approach.
Omer holds an MA in International Relations from Hebrew University and a BA in Political Science and International Relations. Based in Tel Aviv, he maintains a creative practice as a musician, playing piano and double bass. When not working with founders or making music, he enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and capturing aerial photography with his drone.
Shelly leads the fund's finance, legal and operations related matters. She is responsible for the management of the finance department, LP's reporting and taxation, portfolio companies, monitoring and support, and investments' financial & legal due diligence and analysis. Shelly brings with her over 8 years of experience in the financial aspects of the Venture Capital ecosystem.
Prior to joining State of Mind Ventures, Shelly was Manager at E&Y Hi-Tech practice, where she worked closely with start-up companies along all stages from Seed to IPO, as well as with many Venture Capital Funds. Shelly is a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A) and holds a B.A in Accounting and Business Management from the College of Management.
Sagit has more than 20 years of experience and knowledge in bookkeeping, accounting and reporting in the field of venture capital funds and other businesses.She is Responsible for back-office operations of the finance department in our firm and prepares financial statements for audit. Sagit is married and has 2 adult daughters and loves to spend time with her family and to be outside in nature.
