Nir leads strategic investments in unusual startups focused on SaaS applications, big data platforms, cloud infrastructure, security and AI. He is passionate about working with entrepreneurs who find innovative answers to complex challenges. He works with a wide range of companies, from SaaS to Semiconductors, and serves as a board director or observer for Pliops, Rivery, Indeni, Trusstor, Opstream, Rezonate, Kanduai, and SpacePharma. Nir has an extensive background in the finance and strategy fields.

Prior to co-founding SOMV, Nir was Head of Finance at Bazan Group (TASE: ORL), held a senior position in the Finance Division at Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX), and served as Chief of Staff for the Head of the Budget Department at the Ministry of Defense. Nir holds a B.A. in Economics and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Tel-Aviv University. Nir lives in Ramat-Hasharon with his wife and two daughters, and in his spare time enjoys playing the piano and drumming.

Yuval is an experienced entrepreneur, M&A executive and investor, and former CEO of startups including ooVoo, Xacct and Amdocs Cloud Services. As Head of Corporate Development and Strategy for Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX), he led ten global acquisitions totaling more than two billion dollars of investments. Prior to co-founding State of Mind Ventures, Yuval was a Partner with Sequoia Capital in Israel, and an independent angel investor. Yuval is vegan and enjoys long distance trail running at dawn.

Merav was formerly Managing Director at Verizon Ventures leading their Corporate Venture Capital activities in Israel and Europe. In this role, Merav has invested in teams in multiple stages and investment rounds and in a wide range of verticals. Before joining Verizon Ventures, Merav was the Head of AOL Venture Seed Investments in Israel. Merav has sat on numerous boards and worked closely with some of the best founders in Israel. Prior to that, Merav was Head of Strategy and Operations at Better Place.

Head of Regulatory Affairs for Israel’s leading Telco - Cellcom, and a Consultant at Bain & Co., in San-Francisco. Merav received an MBA from Harvard Business School and holds a Law degree from Tel Aviv University. She’s based in Tel Aviv with her husband and two children.

Omer has been working as a marketing and community executive across industries for over a decade. He is passionate about working with entrepreneurs, connecting people around valuable causes, and crafting inspiring experiences. Formerly, Omer was the VP Community at Selina, VP Marketing for Workgroup, and led multiple social-cause initiatives such as the Israeli Burning Man (MidBurn) and The White Elephant.

In his recent job, he was the General Manager for On Deck in Israel, where he helped founders build their global network and ventures. Omer received an MA in International relations from the Hebrew University and a BA in political science and International relations. Omer lives in Tel Aviv, plays the piano and double bass, loves cooking and shooting drone footage.

Shelly leads the fund's finance, legal and operations related matters. She is responsible for the management of the finance department, LP's reporting and taxation, portfolio companies, monitoring and support, and investments' financial & legal due diligence and analysis. Shelly brings with her over 8 years of experience in the financial aspects of the Venture Capital ecosystem.

Prior to joining State of Mind Ventures, Shelly was Manager at E&Y Hi-Tech practice, where she worked closely with start-up companies along all stages from Seed to IPO, as well as with many Venture Capital Funds. Shelly is a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A) and holds a B.A in Accounting and Business Management from the College of Management.

Sagit has more than 20 years of experience and knowledge in bookkeeping, accounting and reporting in the field of venture capital funds and other businesses.She is Responsible for back-office operations of the finance department in our firm and prepares financial statements for audit. Sagit is married and has 2 adult daughters and loves to spend time with her family and to be outside in nature.

Pinhas Buchris, Brigadier General (Ret.) General Partner (SOMV 1&2) A Senior Business Executive, and Military Officer with extensive experience in the management of large organizations and personnel, strategic planning, and technology development. Directly responsible for significant changes within the organizations under his command. Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Founder of the Cybersecurity capabilities within the Israeli intelligence, Head of 8200 Unit, the Israeli Intelligence Corps unit of the IDF responsible for collecting signal intelligence and code decryption. Led the 81 Unit – responsible for building cutting-edge technologies, and a Commando Officer. A Partner with Apax Partners and served as a mentor to numerous successful startups.
